WHAT YOU’LL DO…

As the Costume Shop Assistant, you will support RLT’s Costume Designer in the maintenance and administration of the costume shop while also engaging volunteers in the successful execution of costume construction for RLT productions. Some of your responsibilities will include assisting with costume rentals, sales, and donations and re-stocking costumes and supplies. During the run of a show you will also assist with costume repairs as needed and do weekday show laundry. Additionally, you will support and work with our incredible community of volunteers by supervising work calls as needed and in coordination with the Costume Designer.

A FEW DETAILS…

Hours and location: RLT anticipates that this position will need approximately 20-25 hours per week. Hours will be flexible and include evenings and weekends when necessary. Most work will be performed on site.

Salary: $16/hour

Reports to: Costume Designer

WE’D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF…

You have demonstrated sewing skills and experience doing laundry. Experience cutting fabric from commercial patterns is preferred.

You have strong communication skills, both oral and written, as well as the ability to effectively interact with individuals of varied ages, backgrounds, and abilities.

You have proficient computer skills, preferably with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace products.
